Is there a free version?
Yes. Free gives you 2,000 words of dictation a week, with both Smart and Conservative modes inside that cap. Pro removes the weekly cap for unlimited dictation and adds style-learning and voice commands.
Does Dilo run on Windows and Mac?
Dilo's tested platform is Windows. A macOS build exists and is in beta. Create your account and the download page will point you to the right build.
Does Dilo work in every application?
Just about. Dilo works system-wide, injecting text at your cursor in any standard text field — email, docs, chat, browsers, and native apps. A few locked-down or elevated windows on Windows can block automated input; when that happens Dilo tells you instead of silently failing.
Can I download Dilo yet?
Dilo is in private beta. Create your account and we'll get you the Windows build (macOS is in beta). It's unsigned for now, so your OS adds one extra confirmation the first time — we walk you through it.
What powers the transcription and cleanup?
Dilo is fully managed — there are no API keys to set up. We use fast, accurate cloud speech-to-text and a tightly-constrained language model that cleans up your words without inventing anything. We name our processing provider in the Privacy section so you know exactly where your audio goes.
Will it put words in my mouth?
No. The cleanup is constrained to fix grammar, structure, and fillers without inventing facts or adding sentences. Need your exact words? Conservative mode keeps them verbatim.
How does style-learning work?
Paste samples of your own writing into the Hub. In Smart mode, Dilo uses them as a tone reference so the cleaned-up text matches your vocabulary and phrasing — without changing the facts you spoke.
